COLLABORATIVE ARTISTIC PRACTICES WORKSHOP
rethinking the museum and creating community
An intensive workshop in which we will take a look at genealogy and different meanings of the field of collaborative artistic practices, reflecting on their objectives in processes of social change, methodologies in terms of interweaving different agents and manifesting problems linked to the territory, ethical aspects and how emotional ties can become effective, with a view to the re-invention of the cultural institution. Directed by researcher Helena Moreno Mata, author of the book "Rethinking the Museum. On collaborative and participative artistic practices", with whose presentation and debate we will start. We will count with contributions from cultural agents such as Gregory Castera (Council of Forms / Afield Fellowship) and Ane Rodriguez (Matadero Art Residency Center)
