Breviario sonoro: 5 Aida Moratón; Campo Adentro; Spanish agricultural schools
Descripción:
In this Brevario Sonoro we will talk about the links between the countryside and school, we will talk about popular culture, about the invisible threads that unite education, food, shepherding, the cycles of life, etc.
To do so, we will immerse ourselves in a journey to the past, to a time when Spanish villages were, in their vast majority, agricultural villages.
Our first stop will be the Spanish agricultural schools. History seems to repeat itself and it seems that the countryside is once again threatened by the "rural exodus". We will see how today and then the school is entrusted with a ruralizing function capable of combating "routine" and "desertion".
We will focus our attention on the Quirós Practical Agricultural Institute, in Cóbreces, Cantabria. An example of how scientific advances were incorporated into the field in order to improve yields and prevent the progressive abandonment of rural areas.
A pioneering example of an experimental agricultural farm that taught how to use the most advanced methods in agricultural cultivation and livestock practices and a reference in the transformation of dairy surpluses through a cheese factory that still operates successfully today.
We will start from these projects to open a debate on how to break the distance between an increasingly urbanized society and the rural, pointing not only to the professionalization of the new generations, but also to the enhancement and enhancement of the services that the so-called primary sector provides to society as a whole and that often lack adequate recognition.
In this fifth booklet of Breviario Sonoro we have played "Milagro", by María Arnal and Marcel Bagés, "La Huerta de mi padre", by Lorena Álvarez, and "El cariño que me tienes" by Luétiga. We would like to thank all the people who have made this program possible. Special thanks to Aida Moratón, who has documented, scripted and voiced this program with the support of David Prieto. The work of Jabier Nespral as sound and editing technician. Also to Caro Arabia, María Selas and Danuel Durán, who designed this format, and to all of you who listen to it.
