Have you ever fallen in love with a place in your neighborhood? Where is it located? Is it a warm space, or maybe cold? How is your mood when you are there? Is it vast and immense, in which you get lost when you cross it? Or small and cozy, and makes you feel at home? Places mark spaces and times of meetings, relationships and their transformations.
Tell us about your love affair with a neighborhood, a road, a park, a local ... Falling in love with a place: have you ever wondered what triggers this process and what is its transformative power?
Write us at actividades@inland.org to sign up for a storytelling session. You can bring an object, images or sounds to support your storytelling. We will provide you with an audio system if you wish to share something incorporeal. Participation is free and if you don't want to tell anything you can also come and stay and listen.
The session wants to propose a recognition of places, analyzing how they can become "beloved places" for emotional, intellectual, physical and geopolitical reasons. The event intends to open and share research on the relationship of people with their neighborhoods, through the use of discursive practices that encourage participation and dialogue.
Storytelling is a tool for building communities and sharing practices and visions. From personal experiences the story creates the conditions for the production and emergence of meanings that staff can assume general and shared values.
The event will be facilitated by Ginevra Ludovici, curator and researcher currently resident at CAR, who developed this methodology with the CampoBase collective.
