On Saturday the 4th, we learned the technique of dry-stone walling (UNESCO heritage) with master craftsmen. We continued to revitalize the sheep trails in our cattle drove, along which we have seasonally brought our flock for 2 years. In collaboration with the Ecology Department of Madrid University we held interventions for habitat restoration. The walls not only protect the sheep trail but also provide shelter for numerous species, pollinating insects, rodents, birds of prey and other valuable species such as Tarentola mauritanica (gecko), Timon lepidus (ocellated lizard), Psammodromus algirus (long-tailed lizard), and ladder snake (Zamenis scalaris).
